Ash, Gladion, Lillie, and Lusamine pursue him, arriving just as a panicked Nebby transforms into a chrysalis and an Ultra Wormhole begins to open. The Ultra Beast known as UB-01 Symbiont emerges and attacks Lillie. Lusamine shields her daughter, taking the hit herself. The creature engulfs Lusamine and drags her back through the wormhole, leaving the heroes to face the aftermath of this desperate act.

Tapu Koko and the others conduct a ritual that allows little Nebby to evolve into Solgaleo, a Legendary Pokémon of Alola. Following an invitation from Solgaleo, the Pokémon School students mount its back. The Island Guardians upgrade Ash's Z-ring to a Power Z-ring. Using a new Z-Move, Solgaleo creates an Ultra Wormhole and transports the group through it.

Dec 7, 2017After crossing the Ultra Wormhole, the group discovers Lusamine held captive by an Ultra Beast that controls her mind. Lillie confronts her mother’s Clefable, using shared memories to break the mental hold and free the Pokémon. This attack successfully defeats the Ultra Beast, allowing Lusamine to regain her senses. The group then travels back through the Ultra Wormhole, where they are joyfully reunited with Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet.
