Esteban and Zia swim to a lake island where a mysterious high priest in a golden mask awaits them. He claims their sun medallions are keys to the Cities of Gold, fulfilling a prophecy. Olmec forces arrive and threaten Tao’s life if they are not allowed entry. The priest explains that the Heva people built these underground cities to protect their knowledge after a forgotten war with Atlantis destroyed both utopian societies using solar weapons. Kalmec argues that the city secrets are vital for his people's survival. To save Tao, Esteban places the medallions on the doors, opening them to reveal the massive City of Gold.
