Jan 7, 1987Goku’s group visits Dreamland amusement park while Hasky and her accomplices stalk them to steal the Dragon Balls. Hasky poses as a poor fortuneteller to deceive the group, but Goku complicates her scheme. Despite Yamcha holding the Dragon Balls, Hasky manages to seize them after her cover is blown. She claims to have planted a bomb to destroy Dreamland, prompting Yamcha to warn Goku. Goku chases Hasky’s hover ship on his Flying Nimbus, eventually pinning her down, disarming the bomb, and retrieving the Dragon Balls. Bulma then leaves Yamcha behind, and she and Goku depart to search for the remaining Dragon Balls.

Jan 14, 1987Goku and Bulma travel to an island controlled by General Blue of the RR Army to search for a Dragon Ball. Bulma discovers only one Dyno Cap and several nude magazines in her father's case, leading her to angrily shred the publications. While Goku attempts to dive into the ocean but fails to reach sufficient depth, two RR pilots harass Bulma with gunfire. Goku intervenes and eliminates the pilots from the sky. Following this encounter, Goku decides to visit Master Roshi, much to Bulma's dismay.

The group discusses locating the dragon ball, prompting Krillin to mention Pirates' Treasure, which Master Roshi recounts. After Goku, Bulma, and Krillin depart, a Red Ribbon scout observes the island.

Goku, Bulma, and Krillin escape Blue’s subs, surfacing into a long dark tunnel. Goku finds a button that illuminates the passage. Upon seeing a skeleton, Krillin confirms the location is the Pirates' hideout. Hearing that the legend is true, General Blue forms new ideas.

Feb 11, 1987General Blue continues to track Goku, Krillin, and Bulma as Commander Red demands results. Later, the trio crosses a dark passage and falls through an unstable floor into a lava pit, only for Goku to vault them out using his power pole. Goku takes a separate route while Bulma, Krillin, and General Blue dive into a well to escape the destruction.

Feb 25, 1987As the hideout collapses, Goku falls onto a giant octopus while Krillin and Bulma encounter a booby-trapped ten-armed statue and three chests. Blue exploits his sensitivity to his appearance to stun Krillin, proving immune to Bulma's charms. Mar 11, 1987Goku reaches the escape submarine just in time, still holding a mouse in his mouth. As the group flees, falling rocks strike the vessel, causing it to run out of fuel. Goku uses a Kamehameha Wave to propel the sub to the surface. Bulma manages to secure one diamond during the escape, and General Blue also reaches the surface. At the Blue Sector HQ, Goku experiments with a radio. The trio heads toward Master Roshi's location while General Blue follows. When Roshi receives the diamond, aggressive Launch forces him to hand it over and takes it away. General Blue arrives on the island, preparing for revenge.
EP 55General Blue Binds Kame House Residents and Flees With Dragon Balls
Mar 18, 1987General Blue uses psychic waves to tie up the Kame house occupants, steals the dragon balls, and leaves a five-minute bomb. Gentle Launch arrives in time to free Goku, who then throws the bomb away. Goku pursues General Blue, and both accelerate to maximum speed while flying over a strange island. A fast girl and her sprites watch in amazement. General Blue causes Goku to fall but crashes his jet into a mountain.

Mar 25, 1987A girl named Arale introduces herself alongside sprites Gachem 1 and 2. Blue escapes before Goku can locate him, but the group eventually reunites and rides the Nimbus together. Blue encounters Sour Man and takes his vehicle. Goku meets Akuma and a policeman named Toro, neither of whom can ride the Nimbus. Toro becomes frightened upon hearing about the RR Army. Blue meets a figure resembling his younger brother and assaults Toro and his associates. While Goku searches for the General, Arale collides with Blue, prompting her and the sprites to attempt socializing with him, much to his dismay. Goku fails to locate Blue and finds the dragon radar malfunctioning. Arale then takes Goku to a doctor to repair the device.

Apr 8, 1987Senbei repairs the dragon radar with Baby Turbo's assistance, while Officer Toro visits a coffee shop. Blue waits near the house to steal the plane, evading the repaired radar. Police clash with aliens mistaken for the Red Ribbon Army. Turbo offers a replacement radar. Blue contacts Red from a desolate area.

Apr 15, 1987In the Land of Korin, Captain Yellow locates a Dragon Ball inside a volcano crater near a towering structure. Bora and his son Upa are fishing nearby when the volcano erupts. Bora secures the Dragon Ball and confronts Yellow’s men, killing a grenadier and defeating the group. Yellow kidnaps Upa to force Bora’s surrender. Goku arrives and defeats Yellow, saving Upa, who demonstrates the ability to ride the Nimbus. The Dragon Ball Bora holds is the one Goku seeks. Meanwhile, guards at the Red Ribbon Army base fail to recognize General Blue upon his arrival. Commander Red has summoned the notorious Mercenary Tao.
EP 59Mercenary Tao defeats General Blue and kills Bora while seeking Korin's Land.
Apr 22, 1987General Blue arrives at the Red Ribbon Army base to report securing the Dragon Radar, but Commander Red remains dissatisfied. Red grants Blue a final opportunity to prove his worth by defeating Mercenary Tao. Blue fails this challenge and is swiftly killed by Tao. Meanwhile, Bora shares the legend of Korin Tower with Goku. Tao travels via a flying pillar to Korin's Land, where he interrupts Goku, Bora, and Upa. Bora engages Tao in combat but is ultimately slain. This tragedy leaves Upa devastated and fills Goku with intense anger.

After a difficult struggle to obtain the water, Korin reveals that Master Roshi was the first person to climb the tower, a feat that took him three years to complete.

He continues his rigorous training for two more days, attempting to mimic Korin’s movements to understand him. Meanwhile, Mercenary Tao reflects on his failure to kill Goku and kills the tailor who made his outfit before departing. Eventually, Goku succeeds in obtaining the sacred water. Although it fails to grant him enhanced strength, the extensive physical exertion significantly improves his overall fitness and conditioning.

May 20, 1987Tao arrives and bullies Upa until Goku intervenes. Goku displays superior speed and strength, blocking Tao’s attacks while Bulma works on a scout plane. Tao reveals knowledge of Korin's tower and sacred water. Goku withstands Tao’s Dodon Ray, which only singes his hands. When Tao switches to a sword, Upa retrieves Goku’s power pole, allowing Goku to break the weapon. Tao kicks a stone that misses Upa and destroys the teepee. Frustrated by his defeat, Tao decides to climb the tower to obtain the sacred water.

May 27, 1987While climbing the tower, Mercenary Tao exhausts himself, leaving Goku to relax with Upa. Bulma’s dragon radar suffers from jamming that also affects Commander Red. Upon reaching the summit, Tao meets Korin, who tricks him into believing sacred water boosted his strength and provides a dark cloud for transport. Korin then causes Tao to fall. In the ensuing battle, Tao defeats Goku, who endures the hits to analyze his opponent's techniques. Tao feigns surrender and throws a napalm grenade, but Goku kicks it back. The explosion kills Tao. Meanwhile, Bulma repairs the radar, which also enhances Goku's device, enabling him to proceed against the Red Ribbon Army headquarters.

Jun 10, 1987Commander Red is informed that Colonel Violet has located another Dragon Ball. Her divers retrieve it, but Violet abandons them to a giant alligator and savages to escape with the prize. She presents the ball to Red and receives a small reward. Meanwhile, Bulma finishes her spy camera to find Goku and launches it. As Goku approaches the Red Ribbon Army headquarters, Red suspects Mercenary Tao is responsible. The spy camera is destroyed above the base. Bulma, Launch, and Roshi realize Goku is attacking the headquarters directly. Yamcha, Oolong, and Puar receive this news and depart to follow Goku.

Jun 17, 1987Yamcha and his companions fly in pursuit of Goku, deciding to locate Krillin during their journey. They discover Krillin swimming, but he flees before realizing they intend to rescue him. Goku defeats a sky scout, compromising his stealth, and breaches the base perimeter defenses. He is immediately confronted by the entire army. Yamcha pilots the aircraft into the RR sector, narrowly avoiding a heat-seeking missile. Meanwhile, Colonel Violet collects available funds. Goku infiltrates the command building of the Red Ribbon Army as Commander Red retreats to his office alongside General Black.

Jun 24, 1987The Red Ribbon Army forces retreat in fear as Colonel Violet steals the treasure vault contents. Frustrated, Commander Red abandons General Black to face Goku and retreats to his penthouse. While Goku fights Black, Red attempts to crush him with the ceiling, but Black kills Red in a final act of betrayal. Goku survives the wreckage, but Black refuses to admit defeat and deploys a mech robot to attack. Meanwhile, Yamcha and Violet evade one another. General Black gains the upper hand against Goku and prepares to fire a lethal weapon, escalating the conflict as the battle reaches its climax.
EP 68Goku defeats Black and the war ends as Yamcha arrives at the RR base
Jul 1, 1987Goku evades Black’s laser cannon and destroys the robot mech suit along with Black. He now possesses six Dragon Balls but cannot locate the final one. Yamcha and the others arrive after the war concludes, and Goku reunites with them. His success in crippling the Red Ribbon Army amazes everyone. Puar uses her flying ability to scout the base but finds no one. Goku climbing Korin’s Tower surprises Roshi. Bulma promises to repair the Dragon Radar, and Goku vows to resurrect Bora.
