Ep. 12: Akabane informs Ginji about the team's search while Ban and Shido confront former VOLTS members in the fortress.
Akabane waits for Ginji to wake up from Horii's poisonous gas and informs him that the rest of the team has left to search for the IL, which upsets Ginji. Meanwhile, Ban and Shido encounter Ryouma Magami and Ayame Magami, two former members of The VOLTS, within the Limitless Fortress. They observe that Ryouma and Ayame use their bodies as weapon sources. Ayame traps Ban in a basement that is actually an abandoned laboratory, where he reveals plans to modify imprisoned innocent women. Ban chants an incantation to increase his strength and grip, breaking free and destroying Ayame's modified body. He frees the women and escapes. Shido defeats Ryouma, and the pair reunite. Frustrated by the body modification of innocents, they suspect Makubex, the youngest Four King born in the Fortress, is responsible.
