Ban and Ginji feign a fight to separate, allowing Ban to infiltrate Daitetsu Mahoroba’s estate to protect the one-thousand karat Aztec Star, worth three billion yen. Ginji is hired to retrieve the diamond, stolen after World War II. The duo’s apparent breakup was a ruse to execute a heist planned a year prior. Ginji defeats a Bruce Lee-style bodyguard using electricity, while Ban is captured by Hishiki, The Protector. Ban uses the Jagan to trick Daitetsu and Hishiki into believing they killed each other. Ginji secures the diamond, and the group escapes while Shido’s crows distract pursuers. Himiko arrives to pick them up, but a crow steals the diamond, leaving The GetBackers without their reward.
