Yuusuke, troubled by past life memories and fate, chooses separation from Midori, prompting her to flee. He pursues her but suffers severe injuries saving her from a cliff. The Baka Trio rescues them, but bad weather blocks transfer to better medical care. With Yuusuke dying, Midori uses her remaining life-force to heal him, which forces her to return to her own era. She expresses joy that her wish to be united with Yuusuke is fulfilled, as her life-force will merge with his. After a final kiss, Reika, revealed as a Fate messenger tasked with keeping them apart, takes Midori back to the 31st century.
