EP 25Hayate Saves Nagi from Gilbert's Mecha in Underground Battle
Sep 16, 2007Nagi regrets selling Hayate to the Saginomiyas, prompting her, Saki, and Gilbert to orchestrate a fake kidnapping beneath Isumi's house in Tokyo. Maria urges Hayate to return to Nagi, while Sakuya clarifies that Hayate’s pranks were innocent. Realizing her mistake, a guilt-ridden Nagi faces a crisis when Shiori’s programmed mecha goes berserk. Hayate arrives just in time to rescue Nagi after she screams his name, while Wataru saves Saki. Hayate uses his MG3 to destroy Gilbert and the mecha, causing an underground explosion. Following the battle, Nagi asks Hayate to resume his duties as her butler. He accepts the position, and Isumi is pleased to see the pair reconciled and ready to work together again.

Later, Klaus pushes Hayate from a plane into a lake. Nagi and Ayumu land on an island revealed to be a giant turtle. Hayate defends them, and his recitation of their names convinces the girls he has recovered. Ayumu subsequently realizes the significance of Nagi in Hayate’s life.

The Superintendent subsequently vows to capture Hayate by summoning her Dark Butlers League.
EP 29Saki's Marriage Meeting and the Duel Butler's Dark League Ambitions
Oct 14, 2007Saki informs Wataru of her upcoming marriage meeting, which he initially ignores, prompting him to seek advice from Nagi. Sakuya, Nagi, and Wataru travel to the woods to spy on Saki, who is meeting Kyonosuke Kaoru, a gym teacher from Hakuou Academy. Both parties reveal they have crushes on others, but Hayate mistranslates their conversation through lip-reading. A misunderstanding leads Hayate and Wataru to orchestrate a plan where Tama kidnaps Kyonosuke to make Wataru lose intentionally, but Yukiji intercepts and kidnaps him instead. Saki asks Wataru if he was worried, and he admits it, leading her to take his hand as they leave because she is not ready for marriage. Meanwhile, Kirika tasks the Duel Butler with recruiting Hayate into the Dark Butlers League, resulting in a Yu-Gi-Oh! battle.

Following this revelation, Nagi and the other girls relax in the hot springs. Meanwhile, Hayate is trapped in the men's barrel bath alongside Eight. Kirika dispatches another butler to confront Hayate, leading to a B-Daman battle between the two characters.

Oct 28, 2007Sakuya visits Nagi, who takes offense to being called a brat and orders Hayate to find lost children on her property to prove she can be a better sister. Hayate returns with Itsuki and Shunji, allowing Nagi to play with them while her SP searches for their parents. Sakuya suggests they go outside, causing the children to hug her. Suspecting theft, Sakuya catches the kids attempting to escape with a briefcase. Worried for Nagi, Sakuya warns Hayate that the truth will hurt her. The children are stopped by robots, which Sakuya orders destroyed. Hayate saves the boys, and Sakuya lets them keep the briefcase as a souvenir. Later, Kirika sends Mini Yon, who challenges Hayate to a Mini 4WD race.

Sakuya finds her, and together they encounter a man with a carp’s head who begs for help regarding phantoms tampering with his lake. The carp man explains that the phantom was served alive on a plate. Isumi uses her talismans to destroy the phantoms and their viruses. Although Sakuya urges Isumi to reveal past events to Nagi, Isumi refuses. She recalls feeling bad for Nagi when the latter was afraid of the dark as a child, leading Isumi to decide she will no longer scare her friends.

The Hakuou Three Amiga convince him to work at a cosplay café, which turns out to be a butler café where they play cards. While Hayate and the trio switch shifts, Yukiji abruptly removes him from the premises. Nagi cries because she desperately wanted to walk with him. Hayate is then surrounded by a crowd demanding paperwork as Yukiji forces him to work. Hinagiku helps relieve his frustration. A mysterious dark butler named Puppet Butler hypnotizes Nagi, leading her to find Hayate at the school's old building. There, he challenges Hayate and Hinagiku. After the battle, Nagi remains hypnotized, declaring she hates cultural festivals. She then announces she will teach the "true culture" of Japan by selling all her manga along with Superintendent Kirika.

The stakes involve Kirika returning Nagi if Hayate wins, or the student council running a maid cafe in embarrassing outfits if they lose. During the Hakuou culture festival, Hayate answers reporter questions about his cake while Hinagiku, Koutarou, and Kaede work part-time. Kirika distributes manga prizes as a backup plan. When Nagi tastes Hayate’s Christmas cake, her trance breaks, and he hugs her. They win the competition at the last minute due to a large payment from 2000 SP members. That night, Nagi punishes Hayate for worrying her by making him cosplay.

Hayate attempts to document these scenes for Nagi, but Yukiji, Risa, Miki, and Izumi, disguised as afro photographers, intercept them. The group tries to force a kiss by taking the pair to popular dating locations. To escape the pressure, Hayate and Maria pretend to break up, convincing the trio to leave them alone. They then ride a Ferris wheel together. Upon returning, Nagi reacts with anger to the photos, which primarily feature Hayate and Maria enjoying themselves rather than the requested reference material.

Maria then proposes a scheme involving Hayate's female alter ego, Hermione, which also fails. Just before Klaus departs, Nagi formulates a successful strategy to retain him. Klaus ultimately decides to remain as a Sanzen'in butler. The following day, he is seen ironing newspapers for Nagi, while Hayate and Maria express their relief at his decision to stay.

Before Hayate can leave, Isumi is trapped at the top of a nearby tower. Wataru rushes to save Isumi, while Saki attempts to rescue the clumsily climbing Wataru. When both Isumi and Wataru fall, Hayate catches them. However, Saki, Sakuya, and Makita and Kunieda suddenly fall from nowhere, landing on the dizzy Hayate.

Dec 17, 2007On Christmas Eve, Nagi, Hayate, and Maria attend Mikado’s party, but Nagi and Hayate escape to Loser Park. There, Nagi attempts romantic advances until interrupted by Cyborg Butler and Superintendent Kirika, who knock Hayate unconscious. Himegami Akane, now calling himself Princess God, rescues them. In a dream, Hayate’s parents deny his butler identity. Upon waking, he finds Nagi and Maria waiting while Klaus argues with Himegami about his banishment. Hayate fails all chores, prompting concern from Nagi and Maria. Himegami reveals Kirika drained his butler powers and shows a dōjinshi, proving he watched over Nagi. Realizing this, Hayate resigns as Nagi’s butler and leaves the mansion to ensure Nagi’s safety.
EP 39fillerThe Debt-Ridden Butler and the Ancient Robe's Curse at Loser Park
Dec 24, 2007Nagi blames herself for Hayate’s departure, prompting Maria to comfort her. In Hakuou’s dome, Kirika forces Hayate into a cursed butler robe, promising to spare Nagi’s fortune. Hinagiku discovers the blackmail regarding the Sanzenin estate and alerts Nagi, Hinagiku, Himegami, and the SPs. They arrive too late, finding Hayate transformed into a nekomimi maid. During the battle against Kirika and Shion, who are cursed by a white snake, Nagi’s pleas help Hayate transform into the legendary butler uniform. Using his new power, he defeats the snake Jörmungandr. As the dome collapses, the group escapes safely. Himegami takes the uniform and vanishes. Kirika and Shion survive and flirt. Remembering it is still Christmas, Nagi stops at Loser Park, where Hayate and Nagi wish each other a Merry Christmas at their meeting place.
