Ep. 18: Hayate Practices Giving White Day Gifts to Ayumu but Accidentally Gives Them to Maria

Ayumu secretly desires a White Day present from Hayate despite her previous denials. Following Hinagiku’s advice, Hayate purchases a basket of cookies but, anxious about the delivery, rehearses his greeting and mistakenly hands the gift to Maria. Upon realizing Hayate has neither delivered the item nor funds for a replacement, Hinagiku takes him to Café Donguri to bake new cookies. The owner, Hokuto Kaga, teases that Hayate is Hinagiku’s boyfriend. Despite his usual misfortune, Hayate successfully presents the gift to Ayumu. Later that evening, he also gives Hinagiku a present.
