The Bat Planet is the last stop before the final station, planet Promethium. Because of this, this is where many passengers come and ponder as to whether they should become cyborgs or not. Tetsuro is one of these people. There, they meet an aspiring animator named Masai. He works by drawing portraits of travelers to save money to get a mechanical body in order to overcome his weak physical body and pursue his dream of making cartoons.
