The Bat Planet serves as the final stop before the terminal world of Promethium, attracting travelers who debate undergoing cyborg conversion. Tetsuro is among these visitors. During his stay, he meets Masai, an aspiring animator who earns money by sketching portraits of passengers. Masai aims to purchase a mechanical body to overcome his physical limitations and achieve his dream of creating cartoons. However, the situation takes a turn when Masai steals Tetsuro's travel pass, disrupting the quiet contemplation of the planet's visitors and altering the course of their interaction.
