Sarai directs a lost Ginji toward Babylon City before departing. Akabane reaches Lower Town, where Kagami guides him to a pharmacy. Ginji joins Akabane there, where Ban, Himiko, Shido, Kazuki, and Juubei are present. The group analyzes a map of the dangerous Beltline, a zone between Lower Town and Babylon City inhabited by cruel individuals. The map indicates Makubex is held in the Archive. Ban pressures Gen, who admits to his former membership in the Brain Trust, the group behind the Limitless Fortress. Ban, Ginji, Kazuki, Juubei, and Akabane depart for the Beltline. Elsewhere, an angry figure leaves a monitoring room, upset with Uryuu, while Ren remains depressed over his illusionary state. Upon entering the Beltline, the group encounters a flower field, suspecting a virtual reality setting. Ginji separates from the team and confronts Masaki regarding Makubex's hostage situation.
