Ep. 42: Ban and Ginji help Paul and Azuma retrieve a stolen vase from traitorous partner Sakai.
Jobless Ban and Ginji owe Paul at Honky Tonk cafe. Azuma, Paul’s old acquaintance, arrives to request help retrieving an antique vase from Sakai. Flashbacks reveal Paul, Azuma, and Sakai were thieves who disbanded after Sakai betrayed them to the mafia, shooting Azuma into the ocean. In the present, Ban initially refuses but accepts the job after Paul clears their tab. The group infiltrates the mafia mansion, where Azuma disables security. When Azuma triggers an alarm to confront Sakai, he reveals hidden bombs. While Ban, Ginji, and Paul fight guards, Azuma pursues Sakai and is shot. Azuma detonates the mansion, but Ban uses Jagan on Sakai. Sakai admits he joined the mafia for a better life. Paul states they have changed, and the three former partners part ways.
