Volg has returned to Japan to retrieve his boxing gloves from Ippo. Although he intends to travel to America, he lacks local contacts and must rely on Coach Kamogawa for introductions. The gym members request that Volg spar with Ippo to assist in his preparation for the upcoming Sawamura fight. However, given his extended absence from the ring, it remains uncertain whether the Russian boxer can regain his fighting condition in time for the match.
