Despondent because his parents are arriving from America in a month, Black attempts to prepare yuba soup but fails. He then tries high protein hikiage yuba, which also fails, but accidentally creates a thick, nutritious soup where soya bean protein clumps together. Terue initially refuses to try it, but after Teruko reprimands her, she tastes the soup, finds it delicious, and recovers in time to meet Black's parents.
