Shen-Long remains unaware that Shin-Lu has been discharged from the hospital and transferred to a laboratory for memory replacement. Meanwhile, Shen-Long meets his new teammates, Maxim Feller, Sherry, and Kyou. Kyou instigates a duel with Shen-Long, but Maxim steps in to limit Shen-Long's abilities. Later, Shin-Lu confronts Shen-Long regarding the danger he placed Kai in during the explosion at Gald. This sequence highlights the separation of the two characters and the rising tension within Shen-Long's new group dynamic as he deals with both interpersonal conflict and the repercussions of his past actions.
