Shin-Lu is released from the hospital and taken to the laboratory to have her memory overridden, unbeknownst to Shen-Long. Later on, Shen-Long encounters Maxim Feller, along with Sherry and Kyou, who are now his new teammates. Kyou provokes Shen-Long into a duel, but Maxim intervenes and restricts Shen-Long's powers.
