Ep. 11: Miaka and Yui escape arrest while Tamahome fights Nakago before Yui betrays Miaka.

Nakago identifies Miaka as the Priestess of Suzaku and orders her arrest, but guards are distracted by intruders, allowing Miaka and Yui to escape to a storage room. Nakago commands his men to find them without harming Yui. Outside, Tamahome fights Kutou soldiers until Nakago arrives and easily defeats him. Chichiri uses a freezing spell to help Tamahome escape, though Nakago breaks it. Inside, Miaka notices a scar on Yui’s wrist, which Yui dismisses as an accident. Miaka realizes Nakago possesses the Universe of the Four Gods. When discovered, Tamahome rescues them, and Yui retrieves the scroll. She tells Nakago she is leaving with Miaka, who reminds her of past trauma. Yui reunites with Miaka and Tamahome, who confess their love. Yui feigns cheerfulness and leads Miaka to the Shrine of Seiryu. There, Yui reveals her hatred for being abandoned in the book world and promises to take Tamahome. Chichiri saves Miaka from a crushing door, and Tamahome breaks the barrier with his love. They attempt to rescue Yui, but she refuses to leave, and they depart.
