Ep. 13: Tamahome leaves to save Miaka, who continues searching for Warriors while facing bandit traps and emotional turmoil.

Tamahome and Hotohori detect an evil presence in Miaka's room and confront a Kutou spy who demands Tamahome's departure to prevent Konan's destruction. After the spy escapes, Tamahome promises Miaka he will not leave but secretly travels to Kutou the next morning, leaving a letter explaining his mission to find the remaining Warriors. Miaka, devastated by his absence, continues her journey with Hotohori and Nuriko. Near Mt. Reikaku, they encounter mountain bandits in a trap, only to be rescued by Hotohori. He shows Miaka Tamahome's letter containing the phrase "Wo Ai Ni," causing her distress as she rejects his comfort. Later, spikes attack the group, knocking them unconscious. Miaka wakes in the bandits' camp, searching for a Suzaku symbol before being taken to their leader. Meanwhile, Tamahome is held captive in Kutou, where Nakago slaps him. Yui tends to Tamahome but resolves to keep him and Miaka apart despite his promise to reunite them.
