Ep. 22: Ginji confronts Akabane while Ban fakes death to restore Ginji's sanity

Ginji discovers Teshimine is an illusion and attacks Sakura with lightning before Akabane intervenes. Akabane evades Ginji’s strikes using supersonic speed during a Lower Town power outage. Meanwhile, Kazuki and Emishi leave Gen and Ren at the pharmacy to join the fight, where Ban disrupts the combat by faking his death with the Evil Eye, which restores Ginji to normal. At the Honky Tonk cafe, Teshimine prepares to depart while Paul and Natsumi bid him farewell. Gen reveals he taught Makubex computer programming basics, enabling the latter to download an intruder interception program to reinstall the IL despite system jams. Akabane admits to transporting plutonium to Makubex, causing betrayal among Ban and Ginji. Finally, Akabane takes Ginji to recover the IL, while Ban encounters a seemingly revived Fudou after his deception.
