Sakonji confirms the story and gives Takato his copy of the notebook. Takato is taken away by the police, knowing a trap is set. When Sakonji performs a new death-defying act, he is killed because Chikamiya wrote an intentional flaw into her notebook. With Sakonji's death, Takato escapes from prison.
