Hayate arrives just in time to rescue Nagi after she screams his name, while Wataru saves Saki. Hayate uses his MG3 to destroy Gilbert and the mecha, causing an underground explosion. Following the battle, Nagi asks Hayate to resume his duties as her butler. He accepts the position, and Isumi is pleased to see the pair reconciled and ready to work together again.

A mysterious dark butler named Puppet Butler hypnotizes Nagi, leading her to find Hayate at the school's old building. There, he challenges Hayate and Hinagiku. After the battle, Nagi remains hypnotized, declaring she hates cultural festivals. She then announces she will teach the "true culture" of Japan by selling all her manga along with Superintendent Kirika.

In a dream, Hayate’s parents deny his butler identity. Upon waking, he finds Nagi and Maria waiting while Klaus argues with Himegami about his banishment. Hayate fails all chores, prompting concern from Nagi and Maria. Himegami reveals Kirika drained his butler powers and shows a dōjinshi, proving he watched over Nagi. Realizing this, Hayate resigns as Nagi’s butler and leaves the mansion to ensure Nagi’s safety.

During the battle against Kirika and Shion, who are cursed by a white snake, Nagi’s pleas help Hayate transform into the legendary butler uniform. Using his new power, he defeats the snake Jörmungandr. As the dome collapses, the group escapes safely. Himegami takes the uniform and vanishes. Kirika and Shion survive and flirt. Remembering it is still Christmas, Nagi stops at Loser Park, where Hayate and Nagi wish each other a Merry Christmas at their meeting place.

Later, while trying to rescue a cat from a tree, Hinagiku falls but is saved by Hayate, who then gives her a stuffed rabbit she desired.
